It will be more convenient and comfortable granting that it takes lesser time and effort on our part. That means, lesser time in terms of travel back and forth, and lesser effort to go home every now and then.

And being students, somehow, we love to imagine what it is like to be a little independent, somehow. It is natural to somehow wish to be away from our family a bit so we can learn things on our own. And one way to begin this is by getting a place of our own. Getting dormitories, flats, or hostels will bring out that independence in us. It makes us learn things by ourselves because we have no one to rely on to but ourselves. We also have the opportunity to learn new things, and even simple household chores and manners – things we might have not learned when we are with our families, to begin with. And if we are the spoiled, spoon fed and too dependent type of a human being, then perhaps, this is what we need.
